The headless arms

Valmiki · Aranya Kanda
3.69.5–3.73.46 (CrEd 3.65.5–3.69.36)

Searching the forest for Sita, Rama and Lakshmana are seized by Kabandha, a headless giant with his mouth in his belly, and cut off his arms. He tells them of the curse that gave him this form and asks to be burned; rising from the pyre in his own shining form, he tells Rama to make Sugriva his friend and points the way to Pampa.
