Translation
In the space of a single blink
he reached the forest home
where the wise son of the thousand-rayed Sun,
Sugriva the vanara, was.
Seeing Rama and Lakshmana,
and Sugriva there as well,
down to the level ground
he dropped out of the sky.

Translation
They have overpowered the grove’s guards
who sought to hold them back;
heedless of them, they eat
the honey, and they drink;
the leavings some fling away,
while others eat their fill;
and when they are restrained, they all
show us their knitted brows.

रखवालों को धकेलकर वे बेधड़क मधु खाते हैं, पीते हैं। जो बचता है, फेंक देते हैं। और रोको, तो भौंहें तान देते हैं।

यूथपतियो, लगता है राम ने यह समाचार सुन लिया है। काम पूरा हुआ, अब यहाँ ठहरना ठीक नहीं। मन भर मधु पी लिया, थकान उतार ली। अब तो वहीं चलना है, जहाँ मेरे बड़े, सुग्रीव हैं।
