राघव, मैं गंगा किनारे के पवित्र तपोवन देखना चाहती हूँ... कंद-मूल-फल खाकर रहने वाले ऋषियों के चरणों में बैठना चाहती हूँ।

Translation
“But this is the great talk,
the grief that dwells in my heart:
the townsfolk’s great reproach,
and the country’s too.
Whoever has his ill fame sung
in the world, whoever he be,
falls to the lowest worlds
as long as that word is told.”

पर यह चर्चा मेरे दिल में शोक बनकर बैठी है। जिसकी अपकीर्ति दुनिया में गाई जाती है, वह तब तक नीचे के लोकों में गिरता रहता है, जब तक वह बात कही जाती है।
