Translation

in a hermitage, left alone?
And to whom shall I tell my sorrow,
I whose refuge is sorrow?

पहले भी मैं आश्रम में रही थी... राम के पीछे-पीछे, अपनी मर्ज़ी से, दुख सहते हुए। अब अकेली आश्रम में कैसे रहूँगी? अपना दुख किससे कहूँगी?

जैसे भाइयों से बरतते हैं, वैसे ही सदा प्रजा से बरतिए। यही परम धर्म है। यही सबसे बड़ा यश है।

That you, O king, may win
the citizens by dharma:
for I do not mourn
my own body, best of men,
so much as the citizens’ slander,
O Raghunandana.
