Translation
No doubt, with blazing arrows,
keen, that pierce to the quick,
you could burn the worlds in anger,
like the sun at an age’s end.
The manhood that is Vali’s,
his valour and his nerve,
hear it from me, with one mind;
then do what must come next.

From the western sea to the eastern,
from the south to the north as well,

Climbing to the summits of the mountains,
their peaks, however great,
he flings them high with force,
and, mighty, catches them again.

A buffalo, Dundubhi by name,
bright as a peak of Kailasa,
the strength of a thousand elephants
he bore, that mighty one.
Wicked, swollen with his strength,

Passing over the billowing sea,
the store of jewels,
“Give me battle,” so he spoke
to the great Ocean.
