From the leaves of the Ashoka tree Hanuman finds Sita, and wins her trust by telling Rama's story softly, then giving her Rama's ring. He offers to carry her away on his back; she refuses, for the victory must be Rama's. She gives him a token only Rama knows, the story of the crow at Chitrakuta, and her jewel.
