The twins

Valmiki · Uttara Kanda
7.65.1–7.66.14 (CrEd 7.57.1–7.58.12)

தமிழ் · விரைவில் வருகிறது · The Tamil is coming

On his way west against Lavana, Shatrughna stops for the night at Valmiki's hermitage, where the sage welcomes him as one of the Raghus' own. That same night Sita gives birth to twin sons; Valmiki makes the rite of protection with a fistful of kusha and its cut ends, and names the boys Kusha and Lava. Hearing at midnight of the praise of Rama and of Sita's happy delivery, Shatrughna rejoices, and the rainy night of Shravana passes swiftly for him.
